When: 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month | 4:30 pm – 7:00pm
Where: The SGV LGBTQ Center | 2607 S. Santa Anita Ave., Arcadia, CA 91106
The SGV LGBTQ Center is located behind the Arcadia Congregational Church. So please look for the entrance to the church parking lot off Santa Anita Avenue and then pull into the parking lot and look for the Prince Erik Hall building on your left hand side. There’s plenty of free parking!
What: Everyone will have an opportunity to get up to the podium and do a presentation about yourself! Everyone will be encouraged to present but not forced so if you prefer to just be an audience member and meet your fellow group members, that’s fine too!
We will have a projector and a projector screen for anyone who’d like to use PowerPoint and show pictures, or any other content. Your presentation should be anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes long and please make sure to make your first presentation about what makes you YOU! Also, please know that we do not wish to see presentations with offensive content aimed to attack any particular race, religion, cultural, ethnic background, sexual orientation, etc,.
We’re going to have light snacks and drinks and it’s going to be very enjoyable meeting new people and learning about each other. Also, during our first Meetup session, we’ll announce the date for our next Meetup session. Our goal is to have these session biweekly or monthly but we’ll see how our first session goes first.
